Child Wellbeing & Youth Enhancement
Nurturing Every Child. Empowering Every Young Person. Building a Better Tomorrow.
Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa Charitable Trust (MTCT) is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child and young person has the opportunity to learn, thrive, and fulfil their true potential.
Inspired by the enduring legacy of Mother Teresa, this programme adopts a holistic approach to child and youth development by addressing educational, nutritional, emotional, social, and developmental needs. Our mission is to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and values they need to become responsible citizens, compassionate leaders, and agents of positive change.
Across many underserved communities, countless children continue to face poverty, malnutrition, educational disadvantage, neglect, abuse, and social exclusion, barriers that deprive them of the opportunities they deserve. At the same time, many young people lack access to quality education, digital literacy, vocational skills, career guidance, and meaningful employment pathways.
At MTCT, we firmly believe that investing in children and young people is one of the most powerful ways to build stronger families, resilient communities, and a more just, inclusive, and sustainable society.
Educational assistance, including school bags, textbooks, uniforms, stationery, and other learning materials.
Computer education and digital literacy training to prepare young people for the digital age.
Arts, crafts, sports and life skills education.
Child protection awareness, safeguarding initiatives, counselling, and psychosocial support.
Youth leadership, volunteerism, and community engagement programmes.
Through these initiatives, we help children remain in school, improve academic performance, build self-confidence, develop essential life skills, and prepare young people for higher education, sustainable livelihoods, and active participation in society.
Our Programmes
Our comprehensive initiatives are designed to support the holistic growth and development of children and youth through a wide range of interventions, including:
Strengthening Our Impact
MTCT remains committed to expanding opportunities for vulnerable children and young people by:
Reducing school dropout rates through sustained educational support and mentoring.
Promoting girls' education and ensuring equal access to quality learning opportunities.
Strengthening volunteer-led teaching, tutoring, and mentorship initiatives.
Creating safe and inclusive spaces where children can learn, grow, and flourish with dignity.
As we continue to expand our impact, MTCT envisions a future where every child and young person has access to opportunities that enable them to succeed. Our future priorities include:
Establishing scholarship programmes for academically deserving and economically disadvantaged students.
Building strategic partnerships with schools, colleges, universities, corporate organisations, and development institutions.
Expanding career guidance, employability training, entrepreneurship development, digital skills, and leadership programmes to prepare youth for a rapidly changing world.
Our Vision for the Future
Be the Reason a Child Dreams Bigger
Every child deserves a safe childhood, quality education, good health, and the opportunity to realize their full potential. Every young person deserves the confidence, knowledge, and opportunities to build a successful future and contribute meaningfully to society.
Whether you choose to sponsor a child's education, support a youth development initiative, volunteer your time and expertise, or partner with MTCT through your organisation, your contribution creates an impact that extends far beyond a single individual. It strengthens families, uplifts communities, and inspires generations to come
Together, we can nurture young minds, protect childhood, unlock potential, and empower the next generation to create a more compassionate, inclusive, and prosperous world.
